I was recently offered several $1.00 off 1 coupons for this product while shopping at Dillons. I happened to pick up a bag and give it a try. I was pretty excited about it since I love smoothies. The overall statistics aren't as impressive as they could be. 1-5 grams of protein, 11-15 grams of sugar, but just 110 calories when made with skim milk, which leaves room for some protein if you want to add it. I recommend adding two servings of light silken tofu to balance out carb to protein mix.
The directions are super simple! Toss everything in the bag into the blender, add a cup of skim milk, and blend until smooth. Except, my blender kept getting jammed from too much fruit and not enough fluid. You can add milk or water depending on how closely you're counting calories. I ended up adding another cup of milk. While the directions are simple, it leaves you with two servings, big ones for me since I added more milk. If there's just one of you, you'll have to figure out something for the other serving, which is not convenient.
But you don't care about that! How does it taste already!! Fantastic! Both my son and I love this stuff. It's smooth and fruity sweet without being too sweet. We tried the Strawberry Mango Pineapple flavor and I have to say it rocked!
If you were lucky enough to snag some of the coupons, Dillons has them on Mega Saver for $1.99 when you buy 10 of the participating items. After your $1.00 coupon that's just $.99 per bag or $.50 per serving before milk. Target has them for $2.50. I didn't see them at Wal-Mart. Some areas also got $1.00 off 1 in their 10-4 Smart Source (SS) or you could buy them here.
